Item Details: This gemstone displays a rich dark blue color and is fashioned in a cushion shape with a mixed cut, offering a balanced combination of brilliance and depth. It is birefringent under polariscope examination with a refractive index of 1.760–1.768, and shows pleochroism in blue and purple tones. The stone remains inert under both short wave and long wave UV light. Microscopic characteristics include the presence of silk inclusions and natural colour banding, adding to its unique identity.
