Item Details: This Blue Sapphire gemstone is birefringent under a polariscope and shows a refractive index of 1.760–1.768. It displays pleochroism with blue to purple tones, while remaining inert under short wave UV and showing a medium vermilion reaction under long wave UV. Microscopic characteristics include colour bands, feathers, and crystal inclusions, indicating natural formation. A distinctive gemstone with rich color variation and identifiable internal features.
